Troubles
Pumpkin was first time sick after eating too many carrots: Colic. Next time it was infection in her leg: Abscess. She had never done her hooves on time, they were overgrown and she could barely walk on them.Pumpkin was laying down on the ground in pain, she couldn't stand up, weather was bad, cold December 2001, and no shelter... Even a veterinarian wouldn't be called (after 10 days, when abscess reached her knee) if I didn't ask and pay for it...
It was my Christmas gift for Pumpkin. The best one she could possibly get. The treatment she badly needed! It took her about three month to fully recover in a former equine hospital where her owner worked (it usually takes just a couple of days if abscess is treated in timely manner).
